£500PLEASE CONTACT STUART for further information.
This depicts Jimmy Murphy in the Duessy in the French GP of 1921 it is a Thackwell limited edition print - this is 1/100. It is from the Nockolds original glass plate of the finished artwork.
It is in its original Thackwell frame & mount and measure 450mm wide by 330mm high.
Once again - Nockolds has captured the action and motion perfectly. This captures American action on the European racing circuit. In the background Chassange in the Ballot and Segrave in the Talbot can be seen chasing down Murphy, although Murphy ultimately went on to win - Notable because it was the last American victory on European circuits until Gurney won the Belgian GP in '67, so as well as a great piece of motor racing art, it also depicts a significant moment in history!
