This is one of Gamy's early aviation images it is an original hand coloured litho and depicts 'Beaumont sur monoplan Bleriot' on a European 'circuit'. The colours and title block are good and it features charming images of European landmarks - including the cross-channel crossing. It is in 'as found' condition and the frame has a gallery number applied in plastic tape implying that at some stage in its life this picture has hung in a museum- although we have been unable to categorically confirm this. It would benefit from restoration and reframe but is the best copy of this litho that we have encountered.
